Welcome to Topstitch Auto & Boat Upholstery LLC
We’re proud to announce that Topstitch Auto & Boat Upholstery LLC is now open in Quincy, IL! Founded by John “Chuck” Hagan, a seasoned upholstery expert originally from Tucson, AZ, our business brings over 35 years of experience in custom auto and marine interiors to the Greater Quincy area.

Chuck began his journey in 1986, opening his first upholstery shop at a young age and building a reputation for quality craftsmanship and creative design. After two decades in Tucson, he and his wife Julia Curtis moved to Phoenix to expand the business and explore new opportunities. Over the next 15 years, Chuck’s work evolved beyond basic auto upholstery to include custom boat interiors, car seat designs, and classic car detailing, driven by growing demand and a passion for innovation.

In 2025, Chuck and Julia relocated to Julia’s hometown of Quincy, IL, seeking a change of pace and a chance to be closer to family. With Julia now helping run the office and contributing to the trade, Topstitch continues to be a family-run business built on dedication, skill, and personal service.
